I love deadlines and incentives. Without a little pressure nothing seems important enough to be a priority. In college, I didn't start projects until the night before they were due because I love to be under the gun. It's make it or break it, and that has a way of shaking the best work out of me. "Carrot and stick" is a great phrase, but for me it should refer to the stick as a punishment tool and the carrot as a sweet reward.
Here's a list of current projects that will result in sticks or carrots.
Find a new job so I don't starve to death
Get in shape so I can run a half marathon for charity
Develop a website to improve my human capital and express creativity
Develop another website for free to help a small business owner
Write a letter to a judge so I don't have to pay a fine for something I didn't do
Write a letter to a bad cop's boss so I can be an arrogant bastard
Be good to those I care about so they know I appreciate them
There's a lot more, but I gotta get working on these.
